Anthony W. "Tony" Cessna

Anthony W. “Tony” Cessna, 68, of Shippensburg, departed this life on the afternoon of Thursday, August 1, 2024, at the Gardens of Gettysburg.

He was born on April 28, 1956, in Symrna, TN, a son of the late David L. and Mary E. (Groves) Cessna. 

Tony was a U.S. Marine Corps., veteran enlisting on October 26, 1973 and honorably discharged on April 4, 1977. He liked spending time with his family, loved his dogs, and enjoyed solitude.

Tony is survived by his daughter, Tanya Detwiler of Orrstown; two sisters, Sheila Clark and husband William of Apex, NC, and Shirlene Wierman of Garner, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by a sister, Pamela Drenchko and a brother, Christopher Cessna.

His funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. There will be no public viewing, visitation, or funeral service. Interment will also be private.
