Allen L. "Doc" Weller

Allen L. “Doc” Weller, 73, of Newburg, passed away Monday, October 27, 2025 at UPMC West Shore.

Born Sunday, October 19, 1952 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Jay J. and B. Winifred Davidson Weller.

Doc was a 1971 graduate of the Shippensburg Area High School. He worked as a dairy farmer on his family farm. Doc enjoyed hunting and watching wild life.

He attended the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, Newville, and the Newville First Church of God.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Kay Lay Weller, whom he married March 26, 1977; one son, Jason A. (Steph) Weller; two daughters, Julie L. (Mike) Conner, and Janelle A. (Will) Lloyd, all of Newburg; one sister, Nancy J. (Carroll) Sprenkle, St. Thomas; and nine grandchildren, Jordyn, Ryan, and Jay Weller, Kaylee, Madelyn, and Michael Conner, and Nathaniel, Lianna, and Josalyn Lloyd.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 31, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, 559 Whiskey Run Road, Newville, PA 17241, with Pastor Dick Reese and Pastor Jimmy Kincaid officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining Church Cemetery. A visitation and fellowship will follow the service and burial at the Newville First Church of God.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery Association c/o Steve Lay, 483 Meadows Road, Newville, PA 17241.
