Allan J. Lovell

Allan J. Lovell, 85, of Shippensburg, passed away the morning of Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Celebration Villa of Shippensburg.

He was born on Tuesday, April 23, 1940 in Chambersburg, the son of the late John Albert and Eleanor Amelia (Coy) Lovell.

Allan was a graduate of the Shippensburg High School and worked for the Shippensburg News-Chronicle for over 45 years. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the New York Yankees, Boston Celtics, and Dallas Cowboys. Allan was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, whom loved his family dearly.

He is survived by one daughter, Jamie L. Nye and her husband Peter T. of Shippensburg; and one granddaughter, Dr. Eva L. Nye of Shippensburg.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Lea (Hershey) Lovell.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. There will be no viewing, visitation, or service. Allan will be privately laid to rest alongside his wife in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
