Alice Marie Stouffer

Alice Marie Stouffer, 86, of Shippensburg, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at the Chambersburg Hospital.

Born Saturday, April 1, 1939 in Mongul, Franklin County, she was a daughter of the late Paul Raymond and Grace Virginia Rhoads Runshaw.

She was a 1957 graduate of the Shippensburg High School. She worked as a Fitter for the former Grief Company/Franklin Clothing, Shippensburg, and the former Stanley Company in Chambersburg, with over 40 years of service.

Alice was a member of the Rising Hope Church, and the former Mongul United Brethren Church, where she played the piano, organ, and sang in the choir. She loved bowling in her younger years.

Alice loved and cherished her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by six children, Randy L. (Donna) Cover, Kimberly A. (Arthur) Grandmaison, Ricky L. (Kristie) Cover, Ryan E. Cover, Betty Ann (Ron) Gill, and Darlene M. (Ricky) Koons; five brothers, Leroy (Doris) Runshaw, Jerry (Ernie) Runshaw, Barry (Jean) Runshaw, Ken (Brenda) Runshaw, and John (Cheryl) Runshaw; one sister, Linda Caudill; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Runshaw and Helen Runshaw; and one son-in-law, Rick Killian.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Cover; second husband, Donald R. “Dick” Stouffer; daughter, Karla Jo Killian; son, Edwin Stouffer; three brothers, Richard, Samuel, and Robert Runshaw; and brother-in-law, Robert Caudill.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rising Hope Church, 4162 Roxbury Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257, with Pastor Brent Liechty and Pastor John Runshaw officiating. Burial will be in Mongul Cemetery. A viewing will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, at the church.
