Adelaida Gonzalez Rodriguez, 91, of Chambersburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at her home.

She was born on November 26, 1934 in Pinar del Rio, Cuba, a daughter of the late Natalia Gonzalez Rodriguez.

Adelaida was a member of MCI La Gloria De Dios in Chambersburg. She met her Lord and Savior at 21 years of age and dedicated 70 years serving Him. Adelaida planted many churches in Cuba and was a ministry mother to many; three of her children are ministers themselves.

She is survived by five children, Raquel (Reinaldo) Paez, Rebeca Perez Gonzalez, Sara E. (Daniel) Cabrera, Lidia E. Perez Gonzalez, and Elizardo (Ailen) Perez Gonzalez; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers; and three sisters.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Angel Perez Torrens; one son, Samuel Perez Gonzalez; and one daughter, Noemi Perez Gonzalez.

Adelaida’s memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026 at MCI La Gloria De Dios, 1090 Wayne Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201. Adelaida will be privately laid to rest at Air Hill Cemetery.
